Atami Tamanoyu Hotel, Atami (Shizuoka)

I chose Atami Tamanoyu Hotel for its proximity to the ferry docks and reasonable pricing. The hotel has spacious and clean traditional Japanese rooms, making my stay comfortable. I enjoyed the onsen facilities right in the hotel, along with the local hot springs nearby. The dining area offered a fantastic view of the bay, but I found the overall dining options somewhat limited. My experience was enhanced by the friendly staff and the plum blossom festival happening during my visit.

My room was traditional Japanese, with comfortable tatami mats and futons, and the on-site onsen was a lovely addition to my stay. Although the dining area offered beautiful views of the bay, I felt that the selection could be improved.

I really liked my stay at Atami Tamanoyu Hotel. It’s an affordable spot with friendly staff and a fantastic onsen. The only downside was the walk to the plum blossom festival was a bit uphill, but totally worth it for those views!
